You have a good foundation to make a fun little golf game here. My feedback would be:

  1. Add barriers to the course edges so the player can't fall off. If the player does fall off, then just reset the player position.
  2. Instead of the power bar just filling and stopping. I'd make it go back and forth, from full to empty while the player is holding down the mouse.
